The volume contains photos of East Turkestan by Sadik Sapmaz, who visited the region as a tourist from 2016-2018. The introduction is by Hans-Christian Günther who in frequent visits to China from 2011 to 2017 witnessed personally the suppression of Islam and of the Uighur people in particular, until the excesses which led to the ongoing genocide of the Uighur people today.
